The images of Annette Luycx are deeply human and aimed at the emergence of a lyricism of everyday life takes on new dimensions through the love of the artist for the people and their uniqueness. Inspired by his passion for the theater and the human soul, it makes photo collages to express the tensions between people of undecided desires and situations of anxiety and alienation. In this series of photomontages, she focuses on the enigmatic world of human relations. It shows strange psychological states between people. The title "Coexistence and Conflict" reflects the fact that coexist with other people as having to do with each other in general is nice, but sometimes conflicting because other disturb us, hurt us, disappoint us, make us jealous. This is the mysterious world of human emotions.
Annette Luycx creates scenes with a certain underlying tension without knowing what exactly is going on. In these "film stills" she portrays an ambiguous tension between people as a cameraman who uses the surrounding space as a psychological metaphor of alienation, confusion or fear. It uses contrasts, indoor and outdoor places, close or overall plans, she plays with light and dark, to emphasize "the story of the space." It shows people who are not regular or as needed, but different, a little crazy, where at least strange, and it puts them in specific situations: at night, at dusk, when they disappear, or do not know what to do. Actually Annette Luycx creates moments, snapshots of films that will never be realized. The viewer is invited to imagine what happened before this time, and what happens after. Inspiration comes from Dostoevsky, Ibsen, Bergman and Hitchcock.
The works are spurts printing, high-resolution scanned, enlarged and printed professionally on Top Deco art paper with an Epson 9900 printer and glued on Dybond panels. The original photomontages are handmade, created with images and photographs taken by the artist. There are only three prints of each work. All copies are signed by the artist. Each print will be sold with a certificate of authenticity.
